To change the filter on your Sense unit, use the handle to gently lay the unit on its side. Grasp the feet of the unit and pull firmly to remove the filter, there are two filters in the sense, so repeat this step on the opposite side. Each filter has two parts to replace. First remove the box style filter, and then the black carbon sheet can be popped out. Your new filter will come with 4 total pieces, 2 activated carbon sheets and 2 particle filters. When inserting the new filters, be sure the airflow arrows on the filter packaging match the airflow arrows on the units feet.
The back of the Sense unit can be placed flush against the wall, but be sure to leave at least 4 inches of clearance around the sides of the unit so that the filter can work properly.
The Sense filters come in one type and include 2 activated carbon sheets and 2 particle filters, 4 pieces in total. The Sense filters combined the benefits of particle and carbon filtration, trapping both dust and odor.
When it is time for you to change your filter, a red circle will appear next to the speed control display on the top of the unit.
To reset the filter timer on the Sense, hold your finger down on the red circle until it flashes three times, be patient, it might take a few seconds. Once it has flashed three times, you have successfully reset your filter timer.
When your unit is on and working, the blue light on the front of the unit will be on. Do not worry if the speed display on the top of the unit has disappeared, it will do this after ten seconds to save energy, but your unit will remain set on your previous setting.
